I’ve been right where you are now (literally, like a few months ago) – on the edge of wondering if you’ll cut it being a blogger! I’ve got some great news for you – here’s why you can do it and why your blog is important!
DO it for you!
You may be like me, you are a momma to one, two, or more than three kiddos! I recently left my job to stay home with my children. As much as I absolutely love my children, I needed to do something that was just for me. Something that would challenge me, and make me use my talents other than a well-thought-out puppet show about a little piggy! I needed this creative outlet while still being able to give my children their time.
What you say matters!
You have a voice. You have history. You have experiences like no one else in this world! God gave you a platform to share your wealth of knowledge on the topic/topics that matter most to YOU! Do you share ideas, thoughts, and wisdom on other social media platforms? Do your friends and family come to you for advice? That’s because you have so much to give to this world! Start that blog today!
Just write it out!
Now that you have a solid base to share with the world, it’s time just to write it out. I have found that the easiest way is to list the subjects you would like to write about. Now pick one of them and start a “brain dump” list. This is what I call, “just write out everything that you can think of on that one topic that you want to share with us”. Sit down in front of your computer with your coffee, your water, or even some wine, and just start typing YOUR story out!
Work on your time
Either you have always been working from home or working from home is a new thing for you. The best part of this whole writing a blog/working from home is the hours are your hours. You get to make your hours, stick to them and work for yourself. No one to tell you what to do…besides the children who are hollering behind your back. It’s okay momma, I’m there too. But really, you get to work for yourself. How awesome is that?
Now don’t get me wrong, it is hard work to be a blogger, to build a website, to write a blog and all the details in between. But, writing for myself, for my creative need, my challenge to myself will always and forever trump working for someone else again. Do I miss my coworkers? Abso-freaking-lutely, however, I stay in touch with them and have made some wonderful blogger friends along the way. I call that a win-win.
earn money, rewards, discounts
A great incentive for those who have a passion for blogging is earning something in return for all your hard work. There are so many affiliate programs out there now. You can earn commission on sales, earn discounts for sharing a company’s program, and earn free items. Just for doing what you love. Sharing your wisdom and knowledge with the world.
Now saying that you can receive monetarily does not mean it will happen overnight. It takes a lot of work, patience, and a commitment to writing your blog. BUT, if stick with it and give it a couple of weeks, even a couple of months you will be receiving some great returns!
you can do this!
This can be your very own personal outlet. A place to share your very own thought learned mistakes, and experiences along the way. This can be your very own way to pave a better path for yourself and your future. The best part about writing a blog, you get to meet some pretty amazing people along the way who are there to cheer you on.
